We welcome submissions on all areas of research related to the psychology of aesthetics, creativity, and the arts from basic, applied, clinical, neurological, and educational perspectives. Submissions Open Sept. 1

  • Thematic Symposia (preferred format; 3–5 talks, 50 minutes)
    Bring together related research talks around an important topic. Symposia presenting empirical findings are strongly preferred. Data collection and analysis must be complete at submission; in-progress projects are not eligible. Preference will be given to proposals featuring presenters from different career stages and institutions. Discussants are discouraged, and panel discussions will not be considered. We encourage colleagues working on a common theme to submit together.

    Individual Talks (approximately 7–10 minutes)
    Present completed research in a compact format. Data collection and analysis must be complete at submission; in-progress projects are not eligible. The program committee will organize talks into 50-minute thematic sessions.


    Research Posters (36 × 48 inches)
    Present research on a traditional paper or fabric poster displayed on an easel. Posters are an ideal format for projects that will still be incomplete or in progress at the time of the conference.


    Student Showcase (students; 3 minutes, 1 slide, 1 click, cash prizes!)
    Submit your own research to this lively, longstanding signature event celebrating student research and emerging scholars. Presenters must be undergraduate, MA, EdD, or PhD students at the time of the conference and must be presenting research for which they would be the first author of a publication. An expert panel judges the presentations, and cash prizes are awarded to the top talks. See past winners here and visit the Student page for complete details.

  • All submissions are managed through the online conference submission system.


    For Individual Talks, Posters, and Student Showcase:

    • Names of all authors

    • Name, affiliation, and career stage of presenting author

    • Title

    • Abstract (250 words) for peer review

    For Symposia:
    The symposium chair should submit all information:

    • Chair's name, affiliation, career stage, and contact

    • Session title

    • 500-words symposium abstract for peer review: overview of the session and theme with outline of presentations

    • Per each talk:

      • Names of all authors

      • Name, affiliation, and career stage of presenting author

      • Title

      • Abstract (250 words) for peer review

All submitters will receive decisions in time for early bird registration.

Call for Pre-conference Sessions

We are pleased to invite proposals for pre-conference sessions taking place on March 17, 2027, before the formal start of the conference. Sessions may be up to three hours long.

  • Sessions should appeal to a broad audience rather than a small, specialized group. Formats may include methodological or analytical workshops, topic-focused roundtables, applied skill-building sessions, or other innovative and engaging formats. Possible topics include daily-life research methods, meta-analysis, creativity in education, art museum research, field research, and community partnerships.

    Please note that attending a pre-conference session requires an additional registration fee.

  • Submit the following through the online conference submission system:

    • Session title

    • Presenters’ or facilitators’ names, affiliations, and career stages

    • Brief program abstract
      (500 characters maximum)

    • Peer-review abstract describing the session’s content, activities, and format (250–500 words)

    • Requested session length
      (up to 3 hours)
